Yes Jeannette...you are right. I don't know either candidate. Was just wanting to point out the leadership qualities I see. I did mention at the end the rehetoric piece and yes...the polls will change, the wind will change, and we won't really know who wins until Nov. 6. Was not really trying to say that Romney (and Obama really) is back pedaling. Just trying to take this to a perspective of leadership qualities than issues. I know issues are what elect a president, and I am just wanting people to also look at the behaviors of the candidates to see which we may need right now. Both are going to make different decisions than promising when in the White House. It comes with the terriroty.

Bea -- excellent appraisal of both candidates. The problem for voters is that both political organizations are poll driven. It's the equivalent of licking your finger and holding it up to see which way the wind blows. Do we really know what they believe? I'm sorry to say that Mitt Romney is guiltier of this than the President. He approved the healthcare plan in Massachusetts that closely resembles "Obamacare" that he derides and promises to repeal. Yet on Sunday's Meet the Press he seemed to back-pedal when he said he would keep parts of the current health plan, particularly the provision that forbids insurance companies from denying coverage to those with previous conditions. The press jumped all over that and accused him of tacking to the middle which is where most Americans are politically and whose votes he needs. Who are Americans to believe? We'll find out in November.
