sent this blog post along today:
This is a must read post for ANYONE who wants to be in business in the next 2-3 years. Don’t let the title fool you!
I want to add one more reason to his list: You should quit blogging if you want to push away (young adults born approximately 1977-1997). This demographic WANTS to interact with you online (and not just through and ). They want to have a voice in the topics you are writing about. If you only have your old static website, then this is simply your way of showing people who you are, and the perception is “This company does not want to interact with me”. So, if you want to reach a younger demographic, it was time five years ago to start blogging.
If you are not blogging and are ready to get started, visit to learn more about how I can help you.
Thanks, Bea, for the mention. You add an important reason to blog — and that is to reach younger employees with the corporate message. I’ve often written that blogging should be the centerpiece of every company’s social media strategy. From your blog you can feed your social networks. It’s not a matter of either/or — do I blog or focus on posting to Facebook, etc.. Your blog can automatically feed posts to all your networks simultaneously. How great is that!
