I had someone tell me that they were “Going to go ahead with the training they had scheduled, because it is one of those ‘necessary’ evils.”
I then went about explaining what coaching and training was all about…that it was about building people’s strengths, teaching them how to save more money, how to get more clients and how to be better at the job they do.
The person ended up hiring me!
So…if you know how to talk to a potential client about the pain/worry/doubt that is keeping them up at night (aka…the economy) and how you can help them come out on the other side better, stronger and more profitable, then you will probably get more business by helping your clients turn “necessary evils” into possibilities.
